ELOKON has introduced a new safety system designed to help prevent forklift and pedestrian accidents in busy industrial settings. Called ELOshieldAI, the system combines artificial intelligence with ultra-wideband (UWB) proximity sensors to give workers and equipment extra protection in places like warehouses, manufacturing plants, and logistics hubs.
“UWB delivers the precision needed to prevent vehicle collisions and enables intelligent features like speed zoning, while AI lets us identify and analyze pedestrian behavior in real time,” said Alex Glasmacher, CEO of ELOKON. “With ELOshieldAI, customers can choose the safety configuration that fits their environment—whether that’s badge-based alerts, tagless detection, or both.”
The system uses AI-powered cameras to spot pedestrians and vehicles, even in crowded or low-visibility spaces. It can trigger alerts when people or forklifts get too close, helping avoid accidents. It also supports features like automatic speed reduction in certain zones and collision avoidance between forklifts and robots.

Key features include:
- Tagless pedestrian detection using AI cameras
- On-body badge alerts for workers
- Truck-to-truck detection using UWB
- Speed zoning and collision prevention
The system is designed to work with a wide range of forklift models and can be added to existing fleets.
“By merging UWB precision with artificial intelligence, ELOshieldAI delivers a fail-safe, layered approach to safety,” Glasmacher added. “It’s a powerful example of how smart technology can protect people and equipment in real industrial settings.”
