Manufacturers today face major challenges, from supply chain disruptions to rising costs. Staufen specializes in helping companies optimize production, reduce waste, and speed up operations, making them more competitive in an unpredictable economy.

Staufen’s work spans digital manufacturing, supply chain management, and lean production strategies. The company has helped businesses improve everything from factory processes to sustainability efforts. Its academy also trains professionals in leadership and operational excellence, ensuring long-term improvements.

“Manufacturers must continuously improve their entire value chains to stay competitive,” said Matthias Hégelé, Accenture’s supply chain and operations lead for Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. “The acquisition of Staufen aligns with our strategy to reinvent supply chains and manufacturing for clients.”

Staufen CEO Wilhelm Goschy emphasized his company’s hands-on approach to improving operations: “We go beyond technology, working directly in our clients’ offices and factories to drive true change. Joining Accenture will enable us to bring our three decades of hands-on expertise to even more clients.”

With more than 200 professionals in Germany, Italy, Switzerland, the U.S., Mexico, and Brazil, Staufen has a global reach. Its team will join Accenture’s supply chain and operations practice.

This acquisition is part of Accenture’s larger effort to establish itself in the supply chain and operations fields, following recent investments in Joshua Tree Group, On Process Technology, Camelot Management Consultants, and Flo Group.

“The need for operational excellence is greater than ever, particularly in Germany, home to top manufacturers,” added Christina Raab, Accenture’s market unit lead for Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. “The addition of Staufen will help us unlock the full value of manufacturing and supply chain operations for our clients.”
