The company has ordered 80 all-new Volvo VNL 860 sleeper trucks from Volvo Trucks North America. This is HayWay’s first deployment of trucks in the U.S., and the fleet will be used for long-haul moves, moving freight between Southern California and New York for a large online retailer.

HayWay Group operates 19 companies across Europe and the United States and says this truck order is the first step in a bigger plan to build a major presence in North America. The group has set a goal of growing its fleet to about 1,400 vehicles by 2029.

“HayWay Group’s decision to enter the U.S. market with an order of 80 all-new Volvo VNLs is a bold move and a strong signal of confidence in our brand,” said Volvo Trucks North America’s President Peter Voorhoeve.

In addition to the U.S. order, HayWay Group’s European business has also placed an order for 150 Volvo FH Aero trucks in Poland through its subsidiary SIS Trans, showing it’s investing on both sides of the Atlantic with Volvo.

HayWay’s new U.S. headquarters is in Wyoming, and the company says its Volvo truck fleet will be backed by service from Volvo’s largest West Coast dealer group, TEC Equipment – Fontana.

For HayWay, this move isn’t just about adding trucks. It’s about building a long-haul logistics business in the U.S. with a partner it already knows well from Europe.
