The deal creates a new business unit, IFS Softeon, that will connect planning and execution across the supply chain, from corporate strategy to warehouse operations.

Softeon has spent more than 20 years building warehouse management software used by companies including Brooks, Casey’s, Denso, Sears Home Service, Sony, and UPS. IFS, known for its industrial-focused enterprise software, says the combination will give customers a single system that combines ERP, AI, and warehouse operations.

Many companies today still run separate ERP and warehouse systems, which can create data gaps and slow decisions. IFS says bringing Softeon into its platform is designed to close those gaps and give companies better visibility across inventory, orders, and fulfillment.

“The introduction of IFS Softeon means every enterprise wrestling with the complexity of modern supply chains now has access to something genuinely new: end-to-end supply chain intelligence, from strategic decision-making to physical execution on the warehouse floor. Industrial AI meets limitless warehouse execution. That’s a combination that will supercharge what’s possible for our customers,” said Mark Moffat, CEO of IFS.

Jim Hoefflin, CEO of IFS Softeon, said the move expands what Softeon can offer.

“Joining IFS is the natural next step in Softeon’s journey. Our customers chose us because we deliver. Now, backed by IFS’s Industrial AI platform and global reach, we can deliver even more – AI-driven warehouse orchestration, robotics interoperability, and predictive inventory intelligence. The future of warehouse management just got a whole lot more exciting,” Hoefflin said.

Together, the companies say they process millions of orders per month and manage warehouse operations in 30 countries.

According to IFS, existing Softeon customers will continue to receive support and investment, while IFS customers now gain access to Softeon’s warehouse management tools.

Softeon has previously focused on tier-one warehouse management systems and was recognized in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for Warehouse Management Systems last year. With the deal now closed, IFS is positioning itself as a single provider for companies that want tighter control over planning, inventory and warehouse execution.
