In a letter sent to customers and partners, Newcastle Systems announced it has been acquired by TouchPoint, Inc., effective April 2. Newcastle will now join TouchPoint’s Intelligent Inventory Management platform, which also includes SupplyPoint and Morse Watchmans.
“This combination strengthens our capabilities across inventory management, warehousing, and distribution,” said Staci Kroon, President & CEO of TouchPoint, in the letter. The company emphasized that Newcastle’s existing team, focus, and customer service will remain unchanged, with founder John O’Kelly continuing in a consulting role during the transition.
TouchPoint said the acquisition supports its mission to serve the growing needs of inventory and e-commerce markets. The Intelligent Inventory Management platform aims to deliver secure and efficient solutions for consumables and high-value assets across multiple industries.
Newcastle Systems, known for its mobile-powered workstations, will continue operating under its own brand. “Our goal is to support the great work already underway and ensure you continue to receive the high-quality service you have known them for,” the letter said.
TouchPoint, a privately held company based in Pennsylvania, operates three platforms: Access Hardware, Intelligent Inventory Management, and Medical Technology. It employs more than 4,500 people across 27 countries and serves 80,000 customers globally.
