Uber Freight is placing AI at the center of freight management, aiming to transform how shippers plan, execute, and optimize logistics.
With the launch of its new AI-powered logistics network, Uber Freight says it’s moving beyond task automation to enable smarter decisions, faster execution, and better performance. The system is powered by a proprietary large language model trained on nearly $20 billion in freight data and integrated directly into the company’s transportation management system (TMS).
“This is the inflection point we’ve been building toward,” said Lior Ron, Founder and CEO of Uber Freight. “We’re not just automating tasks—we’re enabling a new level of agility, foresight, and competitive advantage for our customers.”
The company says its AI network includes over 30 autonomous agents that manage functions such as procurement, execution, tracking, payments, and analytics, reducing manual workloads and allowing logistics teams to focus on strategic priorities. A separate feature, Insights AI, provides real-time recommendations to help shippers avoid delays, reduce costs, and improve service.

By the end of 2025, Uber Freight plans to fully integrate the agents and Insights AI into its TMS, transforming it from a system of record into a “real-time logistics command center.”
Over the past year, more than $1.6 billion in freight has moved through Uber Freight’s AI infrastructure, including early pilot programs with five enterprise customers. The LLM was trained on logistics data from $20 billion in freight under management, including 30% of the Fortune 500.
Colgate-Palmolive Tests AI to Improve Decision-Making
Colgate-Palmolive is one of the first companies to adopt the technology through Uber Freight’s Design Partners Program.
“With the scale and complexity of our operations, the collaboration with Uber Freight on Insights AI has helped empower our team to access timely information, analyze our network, and make strategic decisions that drive faster growth,” said Tatiana Martinez, Vice President, North America Customer Service & Logistics at Colgate-Palmolive.
