Labeling and tracking specialist Loftware has bought BL.INK, a firm that creates short links and QR codes for big brands. The deal is meant to help Loftware give companies an easier way to connect digital product information with the physical goods they sell, from production to customer use.
BL.INK’s tech makes it simple for companies to build digital product passports, connect packaging to online content, and share details with customers by scanning a QR code. It works with a brand’s current systems and supports strict security and tracking needs, especially in tightly regulated industries.

The move comes as the industry prepares to shift from standard barcodes to 2D versions and digital links by 2027. Loftware said the deal helps them support companies at every step—from product development to the store shelf and even customer support.
