The Women in Manufacturing Association (WiM) and the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) have announced a new partnership to boost support, collaboration, and professional growth for women in manufacturing and engineering.
As part of the initiative, the two organizations are offering a special membership discount to individuals who join both groups. The goal is to give members access to a broader range of resources, learning opportunities, and networking events, while also fostering a more united community across traditionally male-dominated sectors.
“At WiM, we are thrilled to partner with SWE as both organizations share a deep commitment to advancing women in the workforce,” said Allison Grealis, Founder and President of WiM. “This collaboration will help us strengthen our mission of promoting, supporting, and inspiring women who have chosen a career in the manufacturing space.”
This year marks a milestone for both organizations. WiM is celebrating 15 years of supporting women in manufacturing, while SWE is honoring its 75th anniversary of empowering women engineers.
“The work of both our organizations is mission-critical to the industry and women engineers worldwide — now, more than ever,” said Karen Horting, CEO and Executive Director of SWE. “Our theme this year is ‘Together, We Rise,’ a fitting sentiment for this new partnership and the promise of what we can accomplish in the years ahead.”
The partnership is designed to break down silos between disciplines and connect women across sectors, from shop floor engineers to industry leaders. By joining forces, WiM and SWE aim to strengthen efforts to ensure women are recognized as key contributors to innovation and progress in both manufacturing and engineering.
